This is my first experience of shooting body painting! I can’t describe how much work this is! Not for me, but for the artist. This look and all the accessories were created by Lori Walker. Our brave model is Cara Harroway. Lori started painting around 8am in the morning and we started to shoot only around 3pm. Cheers to Cara for being so patient and cold-resistant!
This paint also glows in the dark but unfortunately it requires black light which in turn requires electricity which we didn’t have on the beach. There are some black light lamps that operate from batteries but they are not powerful enough to help in a shoot like this. That’s a pity as I would actually love to experiment with bright neon colours against some rural background. To juxtapose the natural and unnatural! I also think that these paints glow exactly like some fish and jelly fish do, and some seaweed as well.
I really like the look that Lori has created. It was great to be a part of this project!
