There is a funny story about how I found this location but I’d rather share it with you personally because I think you need to know me more than just from this site to enjoy it fully. I love to tell stories, don’t I? 🙂
Anyway, I’m really excited about this series. Lizzie has created an incredible outfit and I’m really impressed by her skills! Furthermore, I LOVE the location and I think it’s not a typical location you’d think of when looking at this dress, especially the wheat fields. Our initial plan was to shoot at the cemetery but I said to Lizzie: “We will still shoot at the cemetery, but let’s try that huge flower tree and the fields of rye. I know it sounds weird to wear a historical dress in the field but please trust it will work!” Luckily, I didn’t need to ask twice because Lizzie was very open-minded to try everything.
As soon as we reached the fields and I saw Lizzie posing in them I knew it: THIS IS IT! I loved the contrast between black and yellow and white clouds; and I loved it that the details on her dress were yellow as well. I’m proud of the both of us and I really hope that Lizzie will visit Scotland again as I’m sure there’s so much more we could do.
I’m happy with this series on the whole, but pictures in the fields with totally yellow backgrounds are definitely my favourite.
