I thought I would dedicate the whole post to the beauty of mornings and sunsets in Fredvang, Lofoten Islands, Nordland.
For me Fredvang is the most beautiful place of the Lofoten Islands. It’s not as famous as Reine and that only does it good because you don’t get to meet that many tourists. These pictures were taken on my very first day there. I woke up at 6 am to see the dawn. The nature was so silent that I could hear some trolls’ breathing (they were sleeping underneath the snow and you could only see their eyebrows and beards). An hour later some fishermen started to appear. The sun turned from pink into gold. I love these pastel colors. I have never thought that the North is so soft and tender in colors.
After the dawn I went to climb my first mountain (you can read about it here). When we came down we also went straight to the pier to take the pictures of the soft sunset. You can see them closer to the end. Can you tell where the dawn ends and the sunset starts?
